I make short edits and mini film pieces using real footage and strong pacing. I love turning ordinary clips into something that feels and resonates.

This 16:9 landscape piece was filmed on my iPhone 17 Pro in a field near where I live. I kept the camera mostly still because I wanted to capture the real atmosphere of the place, especially the quiet sounds of nature and the calm movement of the horses. Instead of adding dramatic effects, I focused on natural light, composition and letting each shot breathe.

The snowy landscape, woodland edges and open horse field all felt peaceful and cinematic on their own, so my goal was simply to let the viewer slow down and take it in.

I edited the clips together in Videoleap, keeping the pacing gentle and minimal, and uploaded it to Vimeo to preserve the quality.

This project shows that sometimes less is more, and that strong visuals and natural sound can be powerful without needing heavy edits.

This is a selection of my editing and filming work. It includes short edits made from existing footage and clips I’ve filmed myself, focusing on pacing, mood, and visual storytelling.

This edit was made using clips from Katseye’s social media. I wanted to focus on fast pacing and matching the cuts to the music to make it feel energetic and fun to watch. I experimented with transitions, overlays and timing in VideoStar to create something that feels professional but still creative. My main aim was to show how I can take existing footage and turn it into something new by changing the mood and rhythm through editing.

I filmed this myself on a summer evening with my friend Via. I wanted to create an almost silhouette effect using the low sun behind us, so the lighting feels soft and cinematic. I focused on framing and movement to make it look natural but still aesthetic. I then edited it in Videoleap, additing glitch effects and adjusting the colour and pacing to give it a warm, nostalgic vibe. This project shows my filming skills as well as how I use editing to build atmosphere and tell a visual story.

In this piece I filmed myself and my friend Via experimenting with lighting and movement indoors. I wanted to create a bold contrast using blue tones and low lighting to make it feel more dramatic and performance based. I used rotoscoping filter to separate us from the background now and again to add special effects. In the edit, I adjusted the colour grading and pacing so the visuals match the music and create a strong atmosphere. This project shows how I use lighting and editing together to completely change the mood of a simple setting.

This edit is based on footage from The Last of Us. I wanted to capture the emotional intensity of the character Ellie and highlight the darker tone of the story. I carefully selected clips that show subtle expressions and built the pacing around the mood of the music. I used colour adjustments and smooth transitions to make it feel cinematic and dramatic. My aim was to take powerful existing scenes and rework them into a short piece that feels impactful and cohesive.

This edit is based on existing footage of Billie Eilish, who is one of my favourite artists. I used the slice feature to split the frame and slide the clips apart to make the transitions more dynamic and visually interesting. Even though some of the content was still images, I tried to bring them to life through movement, timing and subtle effects. I focused on pacing the cuts to match the mood of the music so it feels more immersive rather than just a simple slideshow. This piece shows how I can turn basic material into something more creative through editing techniques.

I filmed this in a local café where I noticed detailed artwork on the walls. I wanted to experiment with capturing still subjects in a way that felt fast paced and energetic. In Premiere Pro, I scrubbed through the footage quickly and screen grabbed specific frames, then arranged them to create a rapid, almost stop motion style sequence. By focusing on close ups and small details, I made the artwork feel more dramatic and eye catching. This project shows how I like to experiment with different editing methods to make ordinary environments feel more cinematic.

This edit was just for fun and captures moments from my birthday when my friends and I went to a local arcade to do karaoke. I wanted it to feel energetic and chaotic in a good way, like how the night actually felt. I used fast cuts, bold lighting effects and rotoscoping in certain parts to make it more dynamic and personal. Instead of just showing clips in order, I focused on timing everything to the music so it feels exciting and full of life. This piece shows how I can take real life memories and turn them into something creative and expressive.

This edit is based on existing footage of Billie Eilish and her producer brother. I wanted to focus more on emotion in this one, especially the softer and more genuine moments between them. Even though some of the material was still images, I added movement, subtle transitions and careful pacing to make it feel cinematic rather than static. I matched the cuts closely to the music to create a smooth and immersive flow. This project shows how I pay attention to mood and storytelling, even when working with simple or limited footage.

I filmed, choreographed and performed this dance with my friend Marfy to the song Gabriella by Katseye. It was filmed from just one camera angle, so I knew I had to rely on editing to make it feel more dynamic and engaging. I added lighting effects like laser overlays and adjusted the pacing to match the energy of the music. I wanted it to feel fun, confident and expressive rather than just a simple recording of us dancing. This piece shows how I can take basic footage and use editing to add movement, personality and impact.

This edit brings together two close fictional characters from a game I recently played on my PlayStation. I chose specific scenes that highlight their friendship and emotional connection, as it reminded me of my own friendship with Marfy. I focused on softer transitions and meaningful moments rather than fast cuts, so the story feels more heartfelt and genuine. By carefully selecting and arranging the clips, I tried to create a short piece that reflects loyalty and growing up together. This edit shows how I use storytelling and emotion to connect fiction with real life experiences.

My Inspiration

My Inspiration

Aspirational Filmmaker: CSPR Films

CSPR Films is a filmmaker and director who mainly creates music videos and cinematic street-style content. A lot of his work is connected to hip hop culture and Latino music, and his videos have a very strong urban and realistic feel. I chose him because his style feels bold, confident and visually powerful, and it shows how film can represent culture and identity.

CSPR Films, also known as Stephen Alvarado, works as a director and editor, which means he is involved in both filming and shaping the final look of his projects. Most of his content is shared online through social media platforms, which shows how modern filmmakers can build their careers outside of traditional film routes. Instead of making long films, he focuses on music videos and short cinematic pieces that capture emotion and energy.

Some of his most important work includes his music videos that highlight underground artists and street environments. His videos often include low lighting, strong shadows, graffiti backgrounds, night scenes, and close-up shots that feel intense and personal. The way he edits to the beat of the music makes the videos feel alive and energetic. You can see a clear connection between the visuals and the sound, which makes his work stand out.

What makes CSPR Films unique is his urban visual style. His videos feel raw and authentic, but still cinematic. He mixes street culture with professional filming techniques like smooth camera movement, colour grading, and controlled lighting. The mood of his videos often feels serious, emotional, or powerful. He doesn’t overcomplicate the story, but instead focuses on atmosphere and identity.

He is clearly influenced by hip hop culture and modern music video directors who focus on strong visuals and rhythm. You can see this influence in the way he uses slow motion, dramatic lighting, and editing that matches the music perfectly. His work shows that film can be a way of expressing culture and personality.

I chose CSPR Films because his journey feels realistic and inspiring. He built his career through creativity and consistency, not by waiting for big opportunities. His editing style and use of music have influenced the way I think about my own edits. I like how his videos feel confident and visually strong, and I would like to develop my own style in film and media in a similar way.
